Martin's unique software lighting design tool, ShowDesigner 4.0 got it´s first big event try out in Belgium at the European Parliament Open Days on May 9.
The entire show was based around the Tree of Life structure and a 6 meter high Euro Symbol that was erected specifically for this event in the main forum hall.
The show was seen by 12,000 people and ran from 10 am until 6 pm. Everything from first project simulation and rendering to final desk pre-programming was handled by Marc Bauwens (Production Support Services) on the Martin ShowDesigner, a unique visual simulation software tool which lets show programmers, set and lighting designers create set and lighting design in vivid 3D computer graphics.
The 2 separate rigs incorporated 80 intelligent lights including Martin MAC 500´s. This was the biggest project yet for Showdesigner 4.0 and thanks to the support from Lighthouse, developer of the unique software program, Marc was able to make it a very successful event.
Next year he plans on a much bigger event which will include a lighting and laser show for the outside of the building with everything being handled by the ShowDesigner.
Production Support Services became acquainted with ShowDesigner through Lighthouse B.V. in Holland and offer a full ShowDesigner service to customers as well as work on their own projects. They offer a straight rental of the system or LD's and programmers can come to their premises to have the stage or venue modelled and then program their show on their own desk while watching the results on screen.
For corporate customers they offer a rendering service so that they can see the actual result of their show, product launch or special event. Credit Lyonnais Bank, ING Bank Holland, Radisson SAS Hotels and Patchline Concert Services have all benefited from their services.
