Jands has launched a new professional touring quality, high density 12 channel dimmer designed to give rental companies, theatres, conferences and even schools a cost-effective and reliable way to fade lights up and down.
The FPX's smart turn-on software feature ensures popping circuit breakers is a thing of the past. In the event of a power surge the software automatically smoothes the current - which can be up to ten times normal with a cold lamp - preventing the circuit breakers from tripping. As a result, the dimmer can be switched from zero to full without fear of blowing a breaker.
The unit also benefits from an auto-shutoff feature that switches the outputs off if there's no DMX signal for ten minutes - if someone switches off the control room but not the dimmers, the FPX will work this out by itself.
For a rugged, road-proof design, circuit breakers are embedded in a recess so they won't get damaged during transportation. In addition, the front panel includes a three-digit seven segment, high contrast display and easy to use buttons for testing and configuration.
