For the Icelandic Bjork, 2003 was the year of touring the world once more after releasing her Greatest Hits album. From London to Moscow through New York and all the other cities between, the tour was certainly a full 5 months.
Assisting in the oddities of the show was TOMCAT UK. Working with Lite Alternative, TOMCAT UK, built a custom mini stacking truss that was used on the tour as an essential screen collector. Using 12 stacking truss that was inverted, the 20 screen was supported by 8 Columbus McKinnon Prostars as well as two truss ladder stands. Being a new application for stacking truss, custom hoist mounting brackets were created allowing the chain to run through the center of the main truss span and folding ladder feet to support the inverted truss.
Certainly an attractive and creative way to use and support a screen on tour, and Bjork and TOMCAT are certainly all about the creativity.
