After being approached by the lighting and set designer Roy Bennett, Brilliant Stages has been awarded the contract to produce 4 “Turbo” roll drops for the up coming Paul McCartney tour. The roll drops are 19’ wide and have a 42’ trim height. They are mounted on a fabricated roller within a 3’ 6” x 2’ 6” custom truss, designed and engineered by Project Manager Warren Steadman and CAD draughtsman Kevin Edwards. The Mirror drops cloths, which are supplied by Perry Scenic, can travel at up to 10’ per second and are made up from 6” square mirror film applied to black sharks tooth gauze.
The rehearsals start 1st May in the famous “Millennium Dome”, which has seen little in the way of spectacular productions since the Mark Fisher Central Show in which all TOMCAT companies were involved.
