TOMCAT UK has completed the supply and installation of a state-of-the-art hoist, truss and load cell system. The load cell system that fits in the pin of a shackle, relays data back to the computerised control system. This gives the client the ability to look at each and every hoist point and see exactly where the loads are being applied to the truss. Using medium duty truss taken from stock, TOMCAT UK made 4 separate grids. 2 Mother Grids take the oval loading suspended from 24 1t Lodestar hoists. The other 12 hoists are used to provide a flexible "Production area" which the venue uses to put on its many various shows. The Cheltenham venue will be used for many different shows, from the world famous "Gold Cup" Horseracing to local exhibitions. Cheltenham arena is the areas biggest venue costing over 18m and TOMCAT UK is proud to be so closely associated with it.
